AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE

"The way to health is to have an aromatic bath and scented massage every day"
HIPPOCRATES
Aromatherapy is a holistic therapy that involves massaging essential oils into the skin tissues where they help to balance, harmonise and detoxify, restoring the natural defenses of the body, normalising the functions and encouraging regeneration through an elevated sense of well-being.
Aromatherapy can be tailored to create relaxation or invigoration and healing of the mind, body and spirit.
Essential oils are highly concentrated substances extracted from plants. These oils come from either the leaves, wood, roots or flowers of plants and they are totally natural.
Essential oils are not just very
appealing to the nose but medicinal properties in them can be efficient healers
and a percentage of the oil actually passes into the blood stream by being
inhaled and absorbed via the lungs. This enables the healing properties of
essential oils to work their magic, while the wonderful aroma works to calm the
mind or lift the spirits.
Aromatherapy massage is an extremely efficient way to combat the effects of stress and anxiety and an excellent way to relieve tired or aching muscles and stiff joints, whatever the cause.
Aromatherapy can also be a very effective and natural way to treat many minor, but never-the-less irritating ailments, the kind that have you returning to the doctor's surgery time and time again.
Aromatherapy can also be a valuable backup to conventional medicine for more serious medical problems. An aromatherapy massage will make you feel better whatever the nature of your problems.
Essential oils are chosen with great care, taking into account all pertinent factors and so offering a truly holistic treatment.
Aromatherapy can be enjoyed by everyone from the very young onwards.
Back & shoulders, hands and arms, feet and lower legs can be treated sitting in a chair, for people with mobility difficulties who may not be able to climb on to my massage table.
Aromatherapy is the perfect antidote for exam nerves, anxiety and stress before a big day - weddings, meetings, sporting events, etc. Oils are chosen to suit clients needs and preferences; to relax or stimulate different body systems, to detoxify and to aid in improving various conditions (e.g. dry skin).
BENEFITS AND EFFECTS OF AROMATHERAPY -:
